CAMERAPHONE Images [55 Images]
This is a collection of photographs captured using these modern marvels; cameraphones. Not that I will use it as my primary means of capturing images but this album would take you to the greater possibilities that can be achieved using cameraphones. A truly amazing photographic tool that can be carried anywhere you go, not as versatile as a real camera but the convenience is also unrivalled.

Clear Lake, Manitoba [40 Images]
My first visit to Clear Lake, Manitoba. In this gloomy summer day we ventured out to enjoy the lovely view of the Riding Mountain park.
Since I go out when I can I face each photo shoot in a different light as most other landscape photographers that prepare for the perfect lighting. I take it as I get it and make the most of what nature has in-stored for me.
I love this album, it shows the true beauty of the place even against the gloomy skies.

Film Ain't Dead [30 Images]
These are photos of my existing film gear, I love my Yashica GSN rangefinder(I have to say for the money Yashicas are good..they are about 20th the price of a Leica M series but they perform very admirably) and my beloved Olympus OM2s program. I use the Olympus for some B&W work, mostly for print(too much work to scan and upload...). And my GSN just to be plain and simple some days, its pretty good for an old camera. I have more Olympus lenses and accessories but my little coffee table can only hold so much equipment, so I choose my main go out lenses and accessories. This is to say that Film Ain't Dead! Although shooting film gets pricey, with film, developing and scanning(if you're posting it on the web).

Nikon D2Xs-First Shots [30 Images]
I bought a Nikon D2Xs to try the Nikon system, you may ask why? Here in Winnipeg there's quite a hype about Nikon, specially the Nikon D3. I choosed the D2Xs due to it's telephoto capability, with the 1.5X crop I can extend my lens quite a bit and with a 2X crop in high speed crop mode I turn my 70-210mm to a 140-420mm f4 lens. The D3 is an awesome camera(played with it a bit) but I am not personally a big fan of full frame cameras.
I am an Olympus shooter and I am proud of it, it got me over 2 years of great photographs. Is the D2Xs going to sway me away?? In some applications yes, I love the high output 12.2mp for some subjects that I need to do crazy enlargement(The 5mp Olympus E1 produces up to 36"X24" beautiful print-can possibly be pushed larger but this is the largest I printed direct from the camera). In my opinion the Olympus E1 blows the D2Xs in a lot of areas, color is truthful in the Olympus and the dust removal system is indespensable for my landscape shots at f11-f16, the D2Xs got dust in the sensor only after 3 days taking it home from the dealer with very selective lens changing(they provided me with precautionary methods to avoid dust). In the field I probably wouldn't rely on the D2Xs due to this reason, I wouldn't be cleaning my sensor every 2 days and certainly not going to avoid stopping my lens down. At f11 dust gets an issue, it bothers me way too much that I actually avoid stopping it down at all. Not a practical camera for my usual change lens anywhere/anytime attitude.
The Nikon D2Xs is a very capable camera for someone that might want to fancy cleaning their sensor so often. For me I will use if for artistic selective focusing images or portraits at f5.6-6.3 range.

This album is one of my personal fave for 2008, this would be an intro into "fine arts" photography. There's no exact definition of this term but this my own take on it...capturing the artistry in a location rather than plainly an image of it.
Enjoy!
